Peter
Orlando is a commercial real estate veteran with over 19 years of retail
leasing and selling experience. Peter was born and raised in Fresno
and was graduated from California State University at Fresno with a
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and a minor in
Marketing in 1985.
In February
1985 Peter joined Grubb & Ellis Company as a licensed
real estate agent in the Retail Properties Division. Peter later founded
Commercial Retail Associates (a commercial real estate brokerage firm
specializing in retail properties) in 1990 and was a shareholder for
10 years.
Currently, Peter is involved in the leasing and selling of
shopping centers and retail space in Central California and recently
founded Retail California. In addition, Peter represents retail tenants
in their expansion efforts throughout Northern California. These tenants
include: Ralphs Grocery Company (i.e. Ralphs and FoodsCo), Washington
Mutual Bank, CVS Pharmacy, Movie Gallery and Cold Stone Creamery.
Peter
has been directly involved in the creation of grocery anchored
shopping centers throughout the San Joaquin Valley including Windmill
Marketplace, Shaw Marketplace, Washington Square, Willow Station, First & Shields
Plaza, The Depot Shopping Center and many more.
Peter is a member of
the International Council of Shopping Centers and is involved with
philanthropy work for St. Agnes Hospital, St. Anthony’s Church, San Joaquin Memorial High School, the Runnin’ Panthers
Basketball Club and the Fresno/Madera Right to Life organization.
Peter is married and has three children.

Clovis/Herndon
Shopping Center: SEC
of Clovis and Herndon, Clovis. 130,000 square foot
neighborhood center with 43,000 square feet or retail
shops. Currently 100% leased at an average of $1.25
per square foot in 1993.
Arbor
Faire Shopping Center, Fresno: Power Center
anchored by Mervyns, Home Depot, Smart and Final and
PetsMart. Pre-leased 80% of 35,000 square feet prior
to July construction start. Averaged highest rent per
square foot in Fresno area at the time. Currently 100%
leased.
Washington
Square Shopping Center, Fresno: SWC of Champlain
and Perrin, anchored by Save Mart and Longs Drugs. Center
total to include 132,000 square feet with 90,000 square
feet developed during Phase I. 91% of the center was
pre-leased. The rent is based at $1.35 per square foot.
Broadway
Faire Shopping Center, Fresno: SEC of Shaw and
Valentine. Responsible for creating the center by selling
the land and bringing UA Movie Theaters (a total of 40,000
square feet.) and Blockbuster Music (13,500 square feet)
to the project. Currently 100% leased.
Rancho
Viejo Shopping Center : SEC of Walnut and Akers.
Pre-leased 96% of the retail shops, prior to construction
completion (approximately 25,000 square feet). Rancho
Viejo is anchored by Save Mart Supermarkets
Windmill
Marketplace: NEC of Fowler and Herndon. Ralphs
and Walgreens anchored the shopping center. Pre-leased
a majority of this center with tenants such as Cold Stone
Creamery, Starbuck’s, Quizno’s, Mail Boxes,
Etc. and Panda Express.
Willow
Nees Station: SEC of Willow and Nees. Anchored
by Save Mart and Longs Drugs. Pre-leased 100% prior to
occupancy and opened in October of 2001.
Shaw
Marketplace: SWC of Shaw and Brawley. Brought
anchor, Foods Co. Opened in Fall of 2002.
The
Depot Shopping Center: South of the SEC of Willow
and Nees. Was responsible for creating this Center, bringing
Anchor Trader Joes to the Center. Negotiated land sale.
97% leased prior to construction. Opened in January of
this year (2004).
Clovis
Commons . NEC of Herndon and Willow in Clovis.
A Target anchored shopping center with 325,000 square
feet of retail space. Negotiated land sale and 85% pre-leased
prior to construction. Center to open in October of 2006.
